Multi-unit franchise ownership has trended upward in the last decade, demonstrating that the benefits of owning multiple locations are abundant. Many of Altitude’s most successful franchisees are looking to grow their portfolio with additional park locations throughout their chosen market, bringing our mission of active family fun to even more communities nationwide.

Learn more about three franchisees who recently signed agreements to expand their Altitude footprint with additional parks nearby:

Ben Thomas
Ben Thomas joined the franchise system in July of 2017, opening his first Altitude Trampoline Park in Huntsville, Alabama. With a professional background working with brands such as Ford Motor Company, Roger Penske and Mercedes-Benz as a serial entrepreneur, he was looking to move on to the next step in his career when a friend introduced him to our family entertainment concept.

Thomas has actively owned and operated the Huntsville location for more than five years, making the most of Altitude’s proven business model through the brand’s membership program, concessions and charitable giveback with local schools, churches and nonprofit organizations.

From there, he decided to focus his attention on developing more Altitude Trampoline Park locations, recently opening his second in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

“I chose Altitude because of its franchisee-friendly model, which provides greater flexibility and a lower cost structure,” said Thomas. “I like the overall trajectory and health of the brand. The leadership team recently added measures, like the membership program, to improve franchisee profitability.”

Grady Hinchman
As the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) Franchisee of the Year, Grady Hinchman joined the Altitude franchise system in 2020 and quickly demonstrated his dedication to sharing the brand’s JumpLife!SM mantra with the Kissimmee, Florida community. Prior to his franchise ownership with the family entertainment brand, he owned and operated several Planet Fitness locations across East and Central Florida.

Hinchman has achieved success by taking full advantage of Altitude’s membership program, cresting well over 17,000 members in little over a year in business. He recently signed an agreement to acquire the brand’s location in Sanford, Florida and is currently developing his third location in Bradenton, which is expected to open in the summer of 2022.

“Since Altitude Kissimmee opened, our team has shown incredible drive to provide best-in-class service for our community and to uphold the values and vision of the Altitude Trampoline Park brand,” expressed Hinchman in recent press release announcing his award win at IFA.

Tim Kurtz
Tim Kurtz and the Alpha Group opened their first location in Gastonia, North Carolina in 2018, coming from an extensive career in the fitness industry. After reviewing the space, the team felt that Altitude Trampoline Park was well positioned to create a great guest experience for a younger generation of kids. Before long, Kurtz and his partners opened five additional parks in Appleton, Wisconsin; Pueblo, Colorado; Lombard, Illinois; York, Pennsylvania; and Colleen, Texas.

Despite the challenges Tim and the team faced throughout the pandemic, they remain committed to adding value in the communities their parks’ serve through different community events and giveback initiatives, including the brand’s recent partnership with the American Heart Association.
