Chief Development Officer opens up about why the fast-growing trampoline park is a wise investment
For so many, Altitude Trampoline Franchise Parks offer a space where parents can let their kids play while having peace of mind about being in a safe clean environment.
”While Altitude has a traditional trampoline park focus, we also have climbing areas for littles and interactive games for everyone,” says Dre Carter, Director of Development. “We love to help parents facilitate the outings that keep kids off of their devices and into active family fun.”
The demand for this type of entertainment is steadily growing, Carter said. With only about 700 other trampoline parks in the U.S., there’s a massive marketplace that is still untapped, especially in smaller, underserved communities.
In this interview, Carter talks about what makes Altitude unique, how multiple revenue streams create a boon for franchisees and the company’s vision for the future.
Q: How was Altitude Trampoline Park impacted by the pandemic?
A: We proved to be very resilient and didn’t lose a single park due to the pandemic. I think we were able to do that by keeping our location’s square footage reasonable and optimizing the space we offer with the most cost-effective attractions for families. We proved to be sustainable even in an economic downturn.
Q: What makes the Altitude Trampoline Park business model unique?
A: I think it’s the way we look at each customer. We are very customer focused. It’s all about active family fun, whether it’s birthday parties, events or our every day open jump. We give families an active alternative to devices and gaming – all at a reasonable cost.
Q: Can you talk about the importance of multiple revenue streams?
A: Similar to the joining a gym, our memberships are a great value. You have designated daily jump time and a host of other benefits for less than $20 a month. It’s a great subscription model with high retention and other avenues for additional revenue like concessions, retail and buddy jumpers.
Q: What makes a successful franchise owner?
A: A success in our business is an owner that’s engaged in every facet of their park. Successful owners feel a commitment to the communities they serve, interacting with staff and guests who are very conscious of the environment in and around the park.
Q: What is Altitude Trampoline Park’s vision for the future?
A: We look to double in size within the next 3 to 5 years. With 79 locations currently open and more to come, we will have 100 parks by the end of 2022. The trajectory is very promising.
Q: Why is now a good time to invest?
A: Financing is back in full force including our partnership with FranVet. Veterans make fantastic owners who understand and value commitment and service. There are many attractive financing programs available now that there’s more space in the marketplace,as a result of the pandemic; so it’s more attainable for anyone to be a franchisee.
